We actually had a bit of a date-night while on a staycation with the kids! But back to the room: the luxury Euro-top cashmere King beds with 300 thread count sheets were cloud-like in their comfort, everyone delighted in the 42” TV in the living room and 32” TVs in the bedrooms.
My husband and I didn’t have to sit – silent as church mice – in a darkened hotel room from 7:30pm onwards. The experience was shockingly delightful.
And let me tell you about that suite, a 2-bedroom suite! This is the only way I want to travel from now on: a room for the kids, a room for the parents, and a shared living room. While we never noticed the noise of the planes, we sure enjoyed watching them approach the runway from our hotel suite. In fact the resort is directly under the flight path. The River Rock Casino Resort is a stone’s throw from the Vancouver International Airport.
